Optimize Car Performance

With the price of gas today, you want to get the most out of every gallon. Even if prices are falling at your local station, why spend more than you need to spend? Prices are high everywhere and you can use your money elsewhere, can’t you?

There are several simple steps you can take to optimize performance and make the most of the gas in your tank.  

First, check the owner guide for your car and find out the ideal inflation for your tires. Keep your tires inflated using the guidelines provided by your auto manufacturers to optimize performance. Remember to change your tire inflation to accommodate the change of seasons. Cold tires and hot tires require different inflation.  

Tune your car according to the manufacturer’s specifications and change the oil and air filter as instructed in the owner manual. If you live in an area with a lot of precipitation you can optimize performance by adding an additive to remove the water and condensation from your gas tank and improve performance.

Drive on highways wherever possible. Highway driving at a consistent rate will optimize performance and make the most of the gas in your tank. Do not drive like a jack rabbit. Maintain a consistent speed and you will further optimize performance. Don’t drive like a speed racer. If you drive fifty-five or less, you will get more out of tank of gas. An exhaust header will further optimize your car’s performance.
